The origin of RHINESTONES, came from rock crystals found in the river Rhine and various areas of the Alp mountains.  In the 18th century, a jeweler named George Friedrich Strass created imitation diamonds by coating the underside of lead glass with metal powder.  In 1908, Aurora Borealis (AB) glass was developed by Swarovski.

Today, rhinestones are being used to embellish anything glue will adhere too and they enable the creator to truly create phenomenal works of art.  What will you do?  Please share your pieces to inspire and encourage others.
